Functional Safety
Implementing safety functions in machine and system designs can be complex. IQAN simplifies this process with certified controllers designed in accordance with IEC 61508, enabling SIL 2 and EN 13849-1 Performance Level d (PL d) compliance while meeting demanding mobile equipment standards.
The robust IQAN-MC4xFS and IQAN-XC4x Functional Safety modules are available in three sizes to suit a wide range of applications. They support everything from entry-level, task-oriented control to high-I/O configurations for centralized control systems.
Cyber Security
In addition, IQAN supports evolving EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and EU Machinery Regulation requirements through a cybersecurity approach aligned with IEC 62443, helping machine manufacturers address both functional safety and cybersecurity considerations in modern system design.
The IQAN-MD5 is the next-generation master display family with high-resolution touchscreens, multiple CAN buses with FD support, and IP65/IP6K9K ingress protection — purpose-built for the demands of modern off-highway machines.

The IQAN-XC4x family are expansion controllers that extend the I/O of any MC4x master controller. Available in four sizes — XC41 and XC42 include functional safety certification (IEC 61508 SIL2 / EN 13849-1 PLd), while XC43 and XC44 offer high I/O counts for demanding centralised control architectures.
